Nurse - Mom and Baby Unit

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Mom and Baby Unit at Denver Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care to post-partum patients and their newborns.
Responsibilities
- Assess the needs of individuals, families, and communities to identify potential health or safety problems
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patient's condition and vital signs
- Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patient's responses and conditions
- Develop and modify patient care plans as indicated by patient's responses and conditions
- Prepare patients for, and assist with examinations and treatments
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity
- Direct and supervise less skilled nursing/healthcare personnel
- Instruct individuals and families on health education and disease prevention and aftercare
- Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients
- Medication administration, documentation, and reassessment
- Promote positive patient experience
Requirements
- Associate's Degree Required
- One year experience in a direct patient care setting preferred
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association Required
- RN-Registered Nurse - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
