We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Services Technician to join our team.

The Role:

As an Emergency Services Technician, you will provide emergent/urgent patient care under the direction of medical staff, adhering to applicable scope and standards of practice and the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

You will work three 12-hour shifts per week, with a 36-hour workweek, and be required to participate in weekend and holiday rotations.

The Work:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing basic patient care activities within the scope of practice
  • Assisting patients with meeting their emotional, physical, and spiritual needs
  • Reporting abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions
  • Greeting patients and visitors, answering and screening telephone calls, and routing messages
  • Performing technical procedures as delegated by medical staff, including ECGs, splinting, and specimen collection
  • Assisting with maintaining unit and patient rooms stocked, clean, and orderly
You Have:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Hands-on experience leading a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and support skills
  • Ability to be flexible and shift priorities quickly
  • Strong attention to detail

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants and Direct Care Workers, or Licensed EMT - Maine Department of Public Safety (DPS), or Certified Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) - MOAB Training International Inc.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

Scheduled Work Shift: 11a-11p (United States of America)
