Job Summary:

The Veterinary Assistant provides critical support to the medical team at Brunswick Animal Hospital, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients. This role involves assisting with daily clinic duties, participating in special cleaning tasks, and providing exceptional client care.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of Mission Veterinary Partners.
• Assist with laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing tasks.
• Provide patient care under the direction of a DVM, ensuring the well-being and safety of our patients.
• Record all pertinent medical, client, and case-related information accurately and efficiently.
• Review medical records, estimates, and discharge instructions with clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in a variety of skills, including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing tasks.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and composure in stressful situations, and handle a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis, prioritizing patient care and safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and medical staff.
