Sociology Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Faculty Member to teach Sociology courses at Johnston Community College. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Sociology or a related field and one year of teaching experience.

• Provide high-quality instruction in assigned classes, including lectures, discussions, and assignments.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
• Maintain accurate attendance and scholastic records of students.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.

• Master's degree in Sociology or a related field.
• One year of teaching experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Two to three years of teaching experience in a post-secondary environment.
• Experience with online instruction and educational technology.
