We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Systems Designer or Commercial Plumbing Engineer to join our team at Career Collective. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing plumbing systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary, and storm loads. They will also be expected to develop project specifications, perform site evaluations, attend client and project team meetings, and provide construction administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plumbing systems, including calculations of water, gas, sanitary, and storm loads.
- Develop contract drawings/designs from schematics through to construction documents.
- Develop project specifications, including technical requirements and standards.
- Perform site evaluations to assess existing conditions and identify potential issues.
- Handle construction administration responsibilities, including reviewing submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
- Attend meetings with clients and project team members to discuss project progress and address concerns.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred but not required.
- EIT/PE license is preferred but not required.
- 1-5+ years of plumbing design experience, preferably for commercial, institutional, K-12, or healthcare projects.
- Fire protection design experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in Revit is highly preferred.
