Role Summary:
The Staff Pharmacist will deliver proficient inpatient pharmacy services while embodying the mission, vision, and values of The MetroHealth System. This role is integral to the organization’s goal of enhancing preventive care alongside treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmacy services to inpatient units.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication therapy.
- Supervise pharmacy support staff and manage daily operations.
Qualifications:
Required: A Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution recognized by the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy. A valid Pharmacist License from the State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy is mandatory and must be maintained.
Preferred: A Pharm.D. degree from an accredited institution, completion of an ASHP accredited residency, and demonstrated skills in time management, staff supervision, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Physical Requirements:
The role may involve prolonged periods of sitting or standing, with the ability to perform tasks that require visual and auditory capabilities. Dexterity for operating office equipment and effective communication skills are essential.
