Job Summary:

VieMed is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering and instructing patients on the use of home medical respiratory equipment, providing respiratory skills to patients in the field as directed by physician orders, and providing exceptional care to patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and instruct patients on the use of home medical respiratory equipment, in person or via telephone, and advise clients of warning signs as to when to call a physician.
  • Provide respiratory skills to patients in the field as directed by physician orders.
  • Provide exceptional care to patients and clients.
  • Work well with client family members to ensure comfort and respect for the client's illness.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude at all times, being polite and respectful in interactions with employees, patients/customers, referral sources, and vendors.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; respond to complaints and incidents promptly and report through proper channels in a timely fashion.
  • Manage relationships with employees, vendors, physicians, and other referral sources.
  • Carry a phone for after-hours emergency on-call services, scheduled for a one-week call period, approximately one week a month.
  • Responsible to perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT).
  • 1-2 years' experience in respiratory care, either in acute or home setting.
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the respiratory care field and ability to act as a resource for peers and non-clinical staff.
  • Organization and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time are very important for a successful candidate.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral are also required.
  • Must have a valid, state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.

Work Environment:

This role covers Murfreesboro, TN, Franklin, TN, Dickson, TN, Clarksville, TN, and Columbia, TN.
