Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at Ted Britt Auto Group. As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advises customers on necessary vehicle maintenance and repairs, providing detailed explanations and estimates.
  • Conducts visual inspections and road tests to identify mechanical issues and recommends corrective procedures.
  • Prepares repair orders, detailing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
  • Communicates with customers regarding inspection results, repair recommendations, and work order details.
  • Schedules service appointments and obtains customer and vehicle data prior to arrival.
  • Greets customers in a timely and friendly manner, obtaining vehicle information and driving the vehicle with the customer as needed.
  • Refers to service history, inspects vehicles, and recommends additional needed service.
  • Advises customers on vehicle care and maintenance, highlighting the value of regular maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.
  • Establishes promised time, checks with dispatchers, and obtains customer signatures on repair orders.
  • Notifies dispatchers of incoming work, checks on repair progress, and contacts customers regarding any changes in estimates or promised time.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure work is completed, and additional work and authorization are noted.
Requirements
  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications a plus.
  • Valid driver's license.
