Nuclear Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technician I- On Call to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, California. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging department, you will play a critical role in preparing, measuring, and administering radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic studies.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and produce high-quality images.
- Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceutical materials, calculate doses, and administer doses under the supervision of a physician.
- Administer therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direct supervision of the physician.
- Measure radioactivity using Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
- Calibrate equipment and follow radiation safety techniques for the use and disposal of radioactive materials.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certification by the State of California and registry eligibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), and/or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Basic Life Support certification
- Experience working in a Labor Management Partnership environment
