Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy-Pharmacist PRN to join our team at Noland Hospital Anniston. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for interpreting medication orders, compounding and dispensing medications, and ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, regulatory, and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense medications and pharmaceuticals, including controlled substances, in accordance with department and hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and professional standards.
  • Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of parenteral medications.
  • Fills and/or checks unit dose carts.
  • Fills and/or supervises the preparation of newly ordered medications.
  • Assist the Director of Pharmacy in coordinating and implementing the activities of the Pharmacy.
  • Supervise the technical support staff.
  • Assist with clinical, quality management, and education programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy and licensed in the State of Alabama.
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to transport and/or lift an object intermittently throughout the workday up to a maximum of 20 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and work for extended periods of time without relief.
  • Must possess dexterity of arms, hands, and fingers bilaterally.
  • Must be able to work with hands for up to 12 hours a day.
  • Must be able to push/pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of this position can be fully met.
