Position Overview

The Cath Lab Imaging Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures. This position is essential for patient care within the cardiac catheterization lab.

Certification Requirements
  • ARRT Certification in Radiology is mandatory.
  • BLS Certification is required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Position Title: Special Procedures Technologist
  • Conducts diagnostic radiographic examinations.
  • Utilizes PACS and EMR systems efficiently.
  • Executes interventional procedures according to established protocols.
  • Maintains proficiency in IV and contrast administration.
  • Adheres to protocols for patient positioning, exposure control, and radiation safety.
  • Performs administrative tasks as necessary.
  • Communicates effectively with all stakeholders involved in patient care.
  • Responsible for cleaning and inspecting departmental equipment.
  • Ensures imaging rooms are properly stocked and maintained.
Job Requirements
  • Resource Type: Cath Lab Tech
  • Preferred experience in electrophysiology; familiarity with coronary and peripheral cases such as CTO, carotid stenting, AAA, and complex peripheral interventions.
  • Experience in structural procedures is preferred.
  • Education: Associate degree required.
  • Licenses and Certifications: ARRT Certification in Radiology, BLS.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of technical experience.
Schedule Information
  • Hours Per Shift: 10
  • Shift Start Time: 0700
  • On-call: Yes
  • On-call Requirements: 1 weekday per week; 1 weekend every 4 weekends, following departmental rotation.
Department Specific Information
