Computed Tomography Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Roane Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating high-tech imaging equipment to produce high-quality CT images. Your expertise will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.

• Operate computed tomography systems and associated equipment to produce high-quality CT images
• Select and adjust exam parameters to achieve desired results, considering established protocols and patient safety
• Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and complete exams in electronic medical records
• Assist radiologists in developing new protocols and CT imaging techniques
• Identify and screen patients for safety, obtain patient history, and provide education on imaging procedures
• Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment to minimize risk
• Administer medications and perform venipuncture as prescribed by licensed practitioners
• Assist with CT procedures, including biopsies, and ensure time-outs are performed
• Coordinate scheduling and patient flow, and assist with inventory control

• Must have successfully completed an educational program accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Must have and maintain one of the following certifications: ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT), NMTCB, or ARDMS
