**Job Summary:**

The Head of Design & Research will lead our team of Product Designers and Researchers to shape the design strategy across GoodLeap's entire product portfolio. This role demands a leader who excels in creating clarity, navigating complex domains, and thinking systematically about design. As the ultimate owner of GoodLeap's design expression, the Head of Design will play a crucial role in fostering our people-first culture, encouraging contributions from all team members to elevate our company and products.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and implement design strategies that drive business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee the design process from concept to implementation, fostering collaboration between design, engineering, and product teams
  • Design scalable and user-centered experiences that meet the needs of our customers
  • Stay at the forefront of design trends, emerging technologies, and sustainability practices
  • Mentor and develop a diverse team of designers, fostering a culture of creativity and inclusion
  • Present design solutions to executive leadership and influence product strategy

**Requirements:**

  • 10+ years of experience in UX design, interaction design, or similar roles
  • Proven track record leading design teams and influencing product strategy at senior levels
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile platforms
  • Experience designing for fintech, sustainability, or consumer social is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts
  • Proficiency in design thinking methodologies and rapid prototyping techniques
  • Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or related field

**Compensation:** $240,000 - $260,000 a year

In addition to the above salary, this role may be eligible for a bonus and equity.
