About This Opportunity

Maintenance Technician, Day Shift

This is a full-time, non-exempt position that requires a strong background in maintenance and equipment operation. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of manufacturing equipment at our Appleton plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain motors, pumps, and other equipment
  • Perform stainless steel welding and repair
  • Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration equipment
  • Manage boiler operation and perform preventative maintenance
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repair
  • Work with pneumatics, instrumentation, HVAC, and record-keeping

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must pass a general maintenance exam
  • Willing to use a forklift (training provided)
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodations
  • Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Participate in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in food processing or manufacturing equipment maintenance
  • Electro-Mechanical Technology degree or related education
  • Experience with ammonia systems, welding, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, and motors
  • Able to read and understand standard operating procedures
  • Prior PLC experience, programming, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of GMP's and OSHA
  • Experience with single-phase and three-phase power
