Continuous Improvement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at Marvel Refrigeration. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for driving process improvements and optimizing operational efficiency across the plant.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects, utilizing methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement, including waste reduction, process flow optimization, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
- Use data analysis to monitor and evaluate the impact of continuous improvement initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
- Drive Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, and Standard Work initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis for process issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime, defects, and other operational inefficiencies.
- Train and mentor plant personnel on continuous improvement methodologies and foster a culture of problem-solving and innovation within the plant.
- Coordinate with leadership to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while executing process changes.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement, process engineering, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment (refrigeration or related industries preferred).
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
- Ability to collect and analyze data to drive decision-making and implement process improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and train team members on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with production management software and tools.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
