- For specific responsibilities, refer to departmental documentation provided during orientation.
- Must comply with all regulations regarding the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients. Annual training and adherence to the organization's Code of Conduct and policies are mandatory.
Educational Requirements
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program or current enrollment in a nursing program is required.
Experience Requirements
- Preferred: 1 year of nursing experience.
- This position is full-time and operates on a night shift schedule.
- A $2000 bonus is available for nurses with over 1 year of LPN experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of the LPN scope of practice as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing is essential.
- Ability to utilize various technical equipment to meet patient needs and deliver prescribed clinical therapies (e.g., stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers, and electronic monitoring devices) is required.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must hold a valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required during nursing orientation.
Additional Certifications
- IV certification may be required depending on the unit.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Occasional sitting.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional climbing and balancing.
- Frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Constantly required to talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions.
- Consistent eye/hand/foot coordination is necessary.
