Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team in Seymour, IN. As a Pipe Welder, you will be responsible for welding and joining pipes and related components, ensuring structural integrity and leak-free connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Pipe Installation and Welding: Install, align, and secure pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools according to blueprints, specifications, and building codes.
• Pipe Layout and Measurement: Accurately measure, cut, and thread pipes using various cutting tools and machinery. Interpret blueprints and layout plans to determine pipe configurations, ensuring proper alignment and fitting.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform maintenance and repair work on existing piping systems. Replace or repair damaged sections of piping as necessary.

Requirements

• 6G welding certification
• Ability to interpret and execute drawings and blueprints
• Ability to use mathematics to lay out angles, arcs, and circles
• Skill in accepted trade methods and techniques, including figuring pipe joints, take-outs, aligning pipes, valves, fittings, and joints for accurate match and installing proper braces and supports to control movement and vibration and allow for expansion and contraction
• Ability to test systems and equipment after completing work for proper circulation, flow, pressure, and leak-free joints
