Position Overview:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for assessing, implementing, and overseeing therapeutic interventions as prescribed by a referring healthcare provider. The primary objective is to aid patients in achieving optimal functional levels and to mitigate the risk of disability following medical conditions, injuries, or the loss of bodily functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs and executes therapy programs that include therapeutic exercises and training for functional mobility, such as bed mobility, transfers, and gait improvement.
  • Employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, including mechanical and electrical devices, manual therapy techniques, and the use of prosthetic and orthotic aids.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient progress effectively.
  • Sets specific goals for physical therapy and regularly evaluates patient advancements, ensuring all findings are well-documented.

Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.

Preferred: Doctorate in Physical Therapy.

Experience:

Preferred: At least one year of experience in a clinical environment; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Skills and Competencies:

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure environment.

Licensure and Certifications:

Mandatory: Valid Florida Physical Therapist license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
