Job Overview

Loureiro Engineering Associates, Inc. is actively seeking a skilled Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to join our Land Survey Division. This position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of land surveying services.

The Professional Land Surveyor is responsible for planning and executing tasks that require independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard techniques and procedures. This role involves addressing challenges with innovative solutions while ensuring that projects meet quality standards, timelines, and budget constraints. The individual will be accountable for maintaining high-quality deliverables that align with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all land surveying services, including boundary surveys, utility surveys, construction layout, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, and subdivisions.
  • Participate in project scoping and proposal preparation.
  • Conduct thorough research of public and private land records.
  • Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports detailing legal descriptions of surveys.
  • Verify data accuracy, perform calculations, and draft using CAD software.
  • Draft property boundary descriptions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction surveying.
  • Possession of a Professional Land Surveying license (Connecticut, with the ability to obtain licensure in other states).
  • In-depth knowledge of land survey standards and boundary law.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to work outdoors as required.
  • Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in surveying outcomes.
  • Familiarity with the Field to Finish process.
  • Proficient in surveying software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Survey.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit, walk, hike, and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Dexterity to set up equipment, handle samples, and operate tools.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions and terrains.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
