POSITION: METAL FABRICATION SPECIALIST

OVERVIEW

As a Metal Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for various welding and fabrication tasks within our manufacturing environment. Your role will involve working with stainless steel to create high-quality products that meet our rigorous standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interpret and analyze technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Prepare, cut, fit, and weld stainless steel components according to specifications.
  • Utilize measuring tools accurately to ensure precise fabrication.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality in all work performed.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Consistently produce high-quality welds and inspect finished products for accuracy.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and lifting.
  • Adapt to various departmental duties as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.
  • Ability to follow simple instructions and apply common sense in task execution.
  • Experience with hand tools and safety practices in a manufacturing setting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of one month of relevant experience or training.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Familiarity with measurement tools and techniques.
  • Understanding of welding principles and various welding methods.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is advantageous.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires the ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and moving materials. The work environment may involve exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate to loud noise levels.
