Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive multipoint inspections of vehicles
- Communicate any additional service or repair needs to service advisors
- Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using appropriate tools
- Inspect fluid levels in various vehicle components including steering gears and transmissions
- Check and adjust tire pressure as needed
- Lubricate moving parts with the specified lubricants
- Drain and refill oil in the crankcase
- Add necessary fluids to the radiator and battery
- Replace oil and air filters as required
- Examine all vehicles for potential additional repairs
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Follow safety protocols to minimize exposure to hazardous materials
Compensation is competitive and based on experience, aligning with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Must meet the dealership's employment criteria
- Ability to read and understand written instructions
- Familiarity with automotive repair and maintenance practices
- Valid driver's license and capability to operate manual transmissions
- Prior experience as a technician's assistant or apprentice is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Occasional exposure to varying weather conditions
- Ability to operate a vehicle
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and stooping
- Ability to exert force to move objects as needed
- Requires significant walking and standing, with potential for extended periods of seated work
