Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our team at the Magic Lamp Inn Restaurant, a sophisticated high-end steakhouse situated on Route 66. This part-time position will involve preparing and serving drinks, ensuring the bar area is clean and organized, and delivering an exceptional experience for our guests.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
  • Interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
  • Monitoring customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible serving practices.
  • Handling cash, card, and room charge transactions accurately using the MICROS POS system.
  • Assisting with inventory management by tracking supplies and organizing the liquor room.
  • Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods, including banquets or special events.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $45,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. Benefits include a valid San Bernardino County Food Handler card or the willing ability to obtain one within 7 days of hire.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience as a bartender in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably in hotels.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests effectively.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
  • Experience in banquet settings is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change accurately.
  • Proficiency with TOAST POS systems for processing orders and payments.
  • A passion for mixology with an eagerness to learn new techniques and recipes.
