Job Summary

Hayward Industries Inc is seeking an experienced Indirect Commodity Manager to execute strategic sourcing decisions for multiple manufacturing locations, delivering the lowest total cost of ownership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement process and contract development for indirect categories, including operations subcontracting, engineering services, consumables, temporary labor services, travel, office supplies, capital equipment, tooling, MRO, construction, site services, and Vendor Manager Inventories.
  • Define the global sourcing strategy for indirect spend across multiple categories and multiple Hayward locations, with a focus on cost savings and total cost of ownership.
  • Conduct negotiations and establish contracts and service level agreements for regional suppliers, monitoring contract compliance and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Manage and consolidate the current supply base to leverage spend, focusing on annual cost savings and payment term extensions.
  • Support and actively participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities with suppliers, driving innovation and efficiency in the procurement process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering, with an MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in indirect commodity management, with a proven track record of delivering cost savings and improving procurement processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and strategic alliances with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and team leader, with a focus on achieving objectives and driving results.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to generate and work with Excel models and implement new business enterprise systems.
Work Environment

The Indirect Commodity Manager will work in an office environment, with occasional travel to manufacturing or laboratory locations as required.
