Location: Piedmont Fayette Hospital
Shift: This role is designed to manage callouts, provide support for technicians requiring time off, and contribute to weekend staffing needs. Work hours may vary from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. during weekdays, with weekend shifts from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Job Overview:
- Execute diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine and/or Nuclear Cardiology procedures in accordance with established Protocols, Policies, and Procedures.
- Comply with A.L.A.R.A. (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards.
- Implement quality control measures consistent with manufacturer, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Completion of a Nuclear Medicine program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education Programs in Nuclear Medicine Technology (JRCNMT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
No prior experience necessary.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
- Certification as a registered nuclear technologist with either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (Nuclear) ARRT (N) or the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB-CNMT).
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- BLS Certification.
- Knowledgeable in radiation safety protocols and radiopharmaceuticals for conducting and processing Nuclear Medicine examinations.
