Position Overview

As a Manufacturing Scheduling Assistant, you will play a vital role within the Engineering team, tasked with coordinating and overseeing the production timetable to ensure efficient operations. This position is well-suited for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a manufacturing background and a keen interest in engineering. Your ability to plan, prioritize, and manage various tasks will be essential to our success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and sustain a detailed production schedule that aligns with project timelines and organizational goals.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth production workflows.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays and propose effective solutions to prevent disruptions.
  • Track production progress and adjust the schedule as necessary to accommodate changes or unexpected events.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on production status to key stakeholders, including management and clients.
  • Assist in the creation and execution of production policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings to understand project scope, objectives, and timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards in all production activities.


Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering sector.
  • Proven knowledge of production planning and scheduling principles.
  • Proficient in utilizing scheduling software and other applications related to production management.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to promptly address and resolve production challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and quality standards in a manufacturing context.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
