The University of Central Florida (UCF) School of Performing Arts is seeking a pedagogue/scholar to join its music program as a full-time instructor or lecturer in Ethnomusicology. The anticipated start date is August 2025.
This position includes teaching courses in World Music, Music in the United States, Music Appreciation, and graduate courses in the candidate's area of expertise. A strong background in teaching at the collegiate level is essential for this role, which is integral to the core curriculum of music courses in the School of Performing Arts.

The selected candidate will be required to submit official transcripts documenting the conferral of their qualifying academic credentials.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree (for an instructor) or terminal degree (for a lecturer) in Ethnomusicology/Musicology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Three to five years of teaching experience at the collegiate level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Terminal degree in Ethnomusicology/Musicology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Five years of teaching experience at the collegiate level.
- Documented success of teaching in the discipline.
- Relevant performance background or research profile that could positively impact teaching.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
