Research Social Worker - Trauma & Disaster FocusThe Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is seeking a Research Social Worker I to contribute to impactful research projects within the Department of Psychiatry / Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress (CSTS).
Responsibilities:- Collaborate with a research team to design, develop, execute, and implement scientific research related to disasters, trauma, and/or suicidality.
- Contribute to the development of study methodology and perform basic behavioral science research and data analysis.
- Interpret and apply data analyses to contribute to meaningful findings.
- Assist in preparing manuscripts for publication and grant applications.
- Support the training of research assistants.
- Provide psychological support within specialized areas, such as Medical and Surgical services.
- Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Experience conducting research in trauma, disaster response, or mental health is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and writing skills are essential for success in this role.
- Familiarity with ethical considerations in research involving human subjects is required.
