Job Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Bay Cove Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Bay Cove Behavioral Health and Wellness Center - Cape Cod.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing psychiatric evaluations and psychopharmacological evaluation and treatment to individuals participating in the CBHC. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical and recovery principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide psycho-pharmacotherapy prescribing with basic evidence-based medical monitoring and medication reconciliation
  • Maintain updated clinical records of services and contacts with clients
  • Contribute to the comprehensive assessment and care planning for individuals participating in the CBHC
  • Coordinate with primary care providers and specialty medical providers to ensure a team-based approach to addressing behavioral health and medical needs
  • Participate in staff meetings, clinical case reviews, and case conferences as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in nursing required
  • Completion of an accredited educational program for nurse practitioners with specialization in mental health
  • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with authorization by the Board of Registration in Nursing to practice in an expanded role
  • Registered with the ANCC or other accrediting organization for Nurse Practitioners with certification in adult mental health
  • Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescription writing privileges
