Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a meticulous and skilled Electrical Component Assembler to enhance our production capabilities. In this role, you will be integral to the assembly and installation of electrical systems within our machinery. Your ability to interpret technical documents and follow detailed assembly protocols will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret wiring diagrams, specifications, and work orders to ascertain materials and assembly instructions.
- Assemble electrical systems, including support structures, by installing components, subassemblies, and wiring using various methods such as soldering and mechanical fasteners.
- Label and connect switch boxes and control panel terminal boards according to established wiring diagrams.
- Conduct inspections of wiring for proper coding and termination, ensuring no shorts or grounds are present.
- Participate in testing of completed machinery and assist in troubleshooting electrical issues as necessary.
- Report any defective materials or unusual conditions to the supervisor with detailed descriptions to facilitate corrective actions.
- Complete required documentation to comply with quality and production standards.
- Engage in team discussions to collaboratively address any challenges related to cost, quality, or production.
- Adhere to safety protocols while performing all tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all equipment is in optimal condition.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and technical specifications.
- Strong knowledge of electrical components and their installation processes.
- Familiarity with soldering tools and basic hand tools.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Basic understanding of testing procedures and diagnosing electrical issues is advantageous.
Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical assembly or a related field.
