High-Performance Computing Engineer

Captivation Software is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the US Government. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to oversee the engineering and management aspects of HPC systems.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the engineering and management aspects of HPC systems, ensuring that all architected components are properly installed, configured, and integrated.
- Collaborate with other program personnel and communicate with senior executives to drive project success.
- Develop and implement systems engineering strategies to meet project requirements and deliverables.
- Twenty (20) years' experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts, with a strong understanding of HPC systems and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Proficiency using the Linux CLI and experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) to automate tasks.
- General HPC technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage components.
- Experience with Configuration Management principles and concepts, as well as CI/CD principles, concepts, best practices, and tools such as GitLab CI.
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles, concepts, and automation tools such as Ansible.
- Familiar with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications.
- Experience managing or contributing to large-scale projects, including timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
- Experience with Metrics and Monitoring software frameworks used for searching, monitoring, and analyzing data.
- Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
