This role plays a vital part in our mission by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless patient experience. As a Dental Patient Care Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, setting the tone for their interaction with our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Greet and welcome patients, visitors, and others to Mary's Center, providing a positive and professional experience.
  • Office Environment: Facilitate a productive and efficient office environment by modeling excellent performance and conduct.
  • Confidentiality and HIPAA: Adhere to all Mary's Center's confidentiality and HIPAA policies to maintain patient trust and confidentiality.
  • Communication: Answer incoming calls in a timely manner and provide appropriate assistance to patients and visitors.
  • Data Collection: Collect and track data necessary for patient care and health outcomes reporting.
  • Socio-Demographic Information: Obtain socio-demographic information for population health management.
  • Clinical Questionnaires: Implement clinical questionnaires and surveys in preparation for patient care.
  • Care Affordability: Assess care affordability and assist enrollment in insurance or discount programs.
  • Liaison Services: Work as a liaison between patients and dental/service providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Patient Education: Assist with patient education projects according to patient/department needs.
  • Care Coordination: Work and support the entire clinical team to achieve established outcomes in coordination with overall organizational goals.
  • External Coordination: Coordinate care with external offices, specialists, and other services.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurances to determine eligibility, copay, and benefits.
  • Benefits Facilitation: Facilitate benefits and prior authorizations between the patient and the insurance company.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on all Mary's Center programs offered to them.
  • Customer Service: Provide superior customer service and outstanding patient care.
  • Scheduling: Schedule patients for all dental specialties.
  • Referral Review: Review dental referrals and scheduling follow-ups.
  • Claims Processing: Review and submit dental claims and returned claims.
  • Problem-Solving: Problem-solve for optimal efficiency and care of patients.
  • Cash Reconciliation: Process daily cash reconciliation by resolving discrepancies and balancing daily cash.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a receptionist in a dental office is desired.
Language and Physical Demands

The ability to communicate effectively in English is required. Additional language proficiency or fluency is preferred. Regularly required to sit; frequently required to reach with hands and arms, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear; must be able to lift objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
