Pediatric Emergency Room Nurse

At St Mary's Medical Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Emergency Room team on a per diem basis, working evenings. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.
Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse will utilize critical thinking skills to coordinate and provide safe, quality care to all patients. He/she will utilize the nursing process of Triage, Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The Registered Nurse will assist in organizing patient care activities as assigned.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Coordinate patient care activities, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure seamless delivery of care.
- Assist in organizing patient care activities, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient and effective care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, incorporating the patient's unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care, communicating effectively to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 2 years of hire or transfer for inexperienced nurses, and within 1 year of hire or transfer for experienced nurses.
