Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly qualified Nursing Faculty member to join our team. As a key figure in our college's success, you will provide instruction, engage in scholarly activities, and contribute to the development of our nursing education program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and evaluate the nursing education program to ensure it aligns with industry standards and best practices.
- Design and revise curriculum to reflect changing healthcare needs and advancements in nursing practice.
- Lead simulation learning experiences that mimic real-world scenarios, enhancing students' practical skills and knowledge.
- Teach and evaluate students in the classroom, fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes academic excellence.
- Design an effective learning environment that caters to diverse student needs and learning styles.
- Support students' progression and socialization into the nursing profession, addressing any challenges they may face.
- Utilize assessment tools to evaluate student learning and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee instruction and grading of clinical adjuncts, ensuring high-quality clinical experiences for students.
- Facilitate the application of theory to clinical practice, promoting seamless transition from academic to professional settings.
- Communicate effectively with clinical agency representatives, building strong partnerships that benefit both parties.
- A graduate degree (Master's or higher) in nursing or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of three years' experience as a professional registered nurse providing direct patient care is necessary.
- Previous experience teaching in a registered nursing program is preferred.
- A current unencumbered state professional registered nurse license or enhanced compact nurse licensure is mandatory.
- Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty are preferred.
- Maintains professional competence through activities such as nursing practice, continuing education, and research projects.
