Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier and Sales Floor Associate at Great Lakes Ace Hardware. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently, handling customer transactions and processing refunds and exchanges.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, restocking shelves and displays as needed.
  • Assist customers with finding products and answering questions about merchandise.
  • Process special orders and assist with color matching and mixing paint.
  • Collect carts and carry merchandise out to customer cars as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
