We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Recycling Attendant at our facility in Brookings, SD. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our waste management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under general supervision, maintain and repair equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Perform various tasks related to waste collection, sorting, and processing, including loading and unloading trucks and equipment.
  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment, such as balers and compactors, to manage waste streams and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance knowledge and skills in waste management and environmental practices.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years of experience in a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities and deadlines.
  • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively in a diverse and dynamic team environment.

Working Conditions:
