About the Role

Bernhard LLC is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Central Energy Plant (CEP) and ensuring the efficient management of energy usage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze energy usage data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Mentor and train facility staff on energy strategies and best practices.
  • Manage the CEP operation and maintenance, including subcontractors, operators, and internal service providers.
  • Develop and maintain the Plant Operating Manual.
  • Collaborate with the Bernhard EPC team to coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities with OMC operations.
  • Coordinate on-site troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts with remote support services team.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical construction with a large mechanical subcontractor or MEP design consultant, or 2-3 years of management experience in a central plant or facility.
  • Well-versed in building codes and associated standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree (ABET Accredited Program).
  • FE preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time, exempt position that requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. The position also involves ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles, as well as moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments.
