Electrical Superintendent

An Industrial Electrical Superintendent will oversee multiple crews and implement the installation of large-scale electrical systems. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, and our ideal candidate possesses significant prior experience organizing and administering multiple crews.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and mitigate safety risks to ensure a safe working environment.
- Manage material procurement and requisition needs to ensure timely project completion.
- Establish workflows and sequences to ensure projects remain on track and meet deadlines.
- Assemble and install electrical equipment, including termination of wires and cables.
- Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
- Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and ensure equipment is in good operational condition.
- Setup and maintain temporary power systems, including grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
- Hoist equipment and tools into location via bull rigging or crane.
- Work at heights exceeding 300 feet and perform skilled labor for up to 12 hours a day.
- Read blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation and modification of electrical systems.
- Install and modify cable tray using hand tools and power tools.
- Bend and cut conduit using hand saws, hand tube bending equipment, and power and hydraulic cutting and tube bending devices.
- Use recognized cable pulling methods to run cable through specified pathways.
- Terminate both high and low voltage equipment and cable/wiring.
- Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
- Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
- National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Supervisor.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working with a lockout/tagout system.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Must be able to demonstrate former knowledge and experience working on high voltage systems.
- Must know basic electrical theory, including Ohm's Law.
- Must be able to use specialized electrical tools, such as ohm meters and multi-meters.
- Must be able to identify different types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires.
- Must be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes.
- Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations.
- This is a full-time position with varied days and hours, including some overnight work and frequent overtime.
- This position is safety-sensitive in nature, requiring employees to perform duties that pose risks of injury to themselves or others.
- The working environment is often in harsh elements, including hot/humid and/or cold temperatures, rain, and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
