Job Title: Deck/Remodel Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Deck/Remodel Carpenter to join our team at Lyman Lumber Company. As a Deck/Remodel Carpenter, you will be responsible for installing and repairing decks, porches, and other outdoor structures, as well as remodeling interior spaces.

Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair decks, porches, and other outdoor structures
  • Remodel interior spaces, including walls, floors, and ceilings
  • Measure, cut, and install materials, such as wood and roofing
  • Use power tools, such as saws and drills, to complete tasks
  • Work safely and efficiently to meet deadlines
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an apprenticeship program or certificate in carpentry preferred
  • Less than 1 year of carpentry experience in the commercial and/or residential sectors required
Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, principles, tools, and equipment used in the carpentry trade
  • Knowledge of various woods and materials
  • Basic knowledge of state codes and procedures, including energy codes
  • Good work ethic, attitude, and reliability
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team
Work Environment:

As a Deck/Remodel Carpenter, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and quality. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and you must be able to lift and carry heavy materials.
