Position Overview:
Allstates Consulting Services is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to collaborate with our esteemed partner in the fire safety sector. The role involves a variety of responsibilities and requires specific qualifications.

Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Project Technician.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, typically 3-4 weeks at a time within a reasonable distance from home.
  • Flexibility to work on-call, including day and night shifts as required.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and site maps.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm panels is essential; experience with CCTV, voice, and data cabling is advantageous.
  • Ability to identify color codes and work with various color-coded systems.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces.
  • Experience operating a BOOM or scissor lift and working at heights.
  • Must possess basic telecommunication tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and reliable transportation.
  • Familiarity with cabling infrastructure is required.
  • Competent in using smartphones and personal computers, including proficiency in email, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with conduit installation is a plus.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory; no DUI or DWI offenses in the past three years.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various fire alarm systems.
  • Running low voltage cabling in commercial settings, including drilling through concrete walls and performing limited conduit work.
  • Ensuring all cables are organized and secured in compliance with safety standards.
  • Installing cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
  • Conducting tests to verify the operational status of newly installed cable systems and components.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to cable networks.

Compensation:
$35.00 per hour

Expected Hours:
