Job Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, families, and individuals? Northeast Family Services is seeking a committed mental health professional to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Supervisor for the R2R - Road to Reunification program.


The Assistant Supervisor plays a crucial role in providing administrative and supervisory support to the R2R initiative, working closely under the guidance of the R2R Clinical Supervisor. This position requires a strong understanding of R2R contracted services and serves as a reliable backup to the Clinical Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience collaborating with families involved with the NH DCYF, as well as with caregivers and various service providers.

This is a Full-Time position, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The role can be performed from any of our locations across New Hampshire.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly supervision to assigned staff members.
  • Conduct regular observations and coaching sessions to foster staff development and enhance competencies.
  • Assist in the onboarding and training processes for new staff.
  • Address concerns or needs raised by funders, families, caregivers, and service providers, escalating issues to the Clinical Supervisor as necessary.
  • Document and track R2R data for reporting purposes to funders.
  • Perform consistent chart audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Manage a reduced caseload as required.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and attend R2R meetings as per contract specifications.
  • Report any service provision obstacles to the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Actively engage in the training and development of assigned R2R staff.
  • In the absence of the Clinical Supervisor, provide additional supervisory support to staff.


Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field focused on human services.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents to identify barriers and resources for family reunification.
  • At least 1 year of experience with NH DCYF and a demonstrated understanding of the needs of children and families within the child welfare system.
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license and consistent access to a vehicle.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in supervision, service delivery, and case management principles.
  • Experience in quality management is preferred.
  • Competent in computer use, including Microsoft Office.
