Position Overview
Under the guidance of the Nutrition Services Director, the Culinary Services Assistant II is responsible for a range of food-related tasks, including the preparation and serving of meals to staff and visitors. This role also entails maintaining cleanliness and organization in food preparation and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of food service areas.
  • Assist in stocking supplies and maintaining inventory.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Preferred two years of experience in healthcare food service.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must successfully complete a skills assessment (minimum score of 75%).

Educational Background:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Frequent movement throughout the facility.
  • Intermittent use of a keyboard.
  • Ability to lift up to 30% of body weight.
  • Proficient in reading and understanding English.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional interaction with patients, families, and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
