As a Lead Maintenance Technician, your role will be crucial in maintaining the safety, comfort, and functionality of our properties. Your skills will be instrumental in ensuring our residents enjoy a high-quality living environment.

The Lead Maintenance Technician will be tasked with diagnosing issues and executing repairs to uphold the community's physical condition while ensuring timely responses to service requests.


Key Duties Include:

  • Diagnosing and rectifying issues in areas such as HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware, masonry, painting, and waste management.
  • Assisting in the organization and execution of work orders and general maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Preparing vacant apartments and garages for new occupants, including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
  • Training and supervising Maintenance Technicians I and II.
  • Conducting regular preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Monitoring community grounds and buildings daily to identify maintenance needs.
  • Promoting a culture of safety by adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Performing Hot Works as required, including brazing, soldering, and welding in accordance with company standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repair work.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • HVAC certifications (CFC) preferred or a willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents and team members.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply company policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with cleaning supplies and safety data sheets.
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment and its proper use.
  • Basic understanding of emergency systems and their operations.
  • Knowledge of various paint types and application tools.
