Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse 2 to join our team at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC). As a Registered Nurse 2, you will provide direct patient care to assigned patients under general supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing a plan of care to address their unique requirements.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing practices, administering medications, IV therapy, and treatments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless care coordination.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ancillary personnel, monitoring their performance and providing guidance as needed.
  • Participate in nursing care planning conferences, incorporating scientific and psychosocial principles to support patient care.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Two years of Registered Nurse experience required in the specific specialty area.
  • Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
  • Completion of "Healthcare Provider" CPR course, bi-annually.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to stand and walk almost constantly up to 90% of work time and lifting and positioning patients up to 50% of work time.
