About the Role:
This position is essential for overseeing and supporting daily operations related to the upkeep of production machinery, ovens, incinerators, and equipment utilized in the coating of steel coils. The role encompasses managing process apparatus, HVAC systems, building illumination, security, and the overall aesthetic of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a culture of safety and cleanliness.
  • Provide maintenance assistance for production apparatus and facility systems, including preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
  • Guide, develop, and manage the efficiency and performance of mechanics and electricians across all shifts.
  • Maintain a predictive and preventative maintenance program for machinery and equipment.
  • Oversee inventory management for maintenance spare parts.
  • Coordinate and supervise third-party contractor support as necessary.
  • Prepare budgets and obtain estimates and cost quotes as required.
  • Identify root causes of maintenance-related issues and implement enhancement strategies.
  • Enforce discipline and accountability in adherence to site and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and leadership for plant safety and environmental initiatives.
  • Act as an on-call contact for urgent issues and emergencies.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on Electrical/Controls Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing facilities/equipment, demonstrating the ability to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Proficiency in writing and troubleshooting PLC/HMI software (RS Logix 5, RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, RSView Studio, Panelbuilder 32, RS Networks).
- Familiarity with AutoCAD.
- Experience programming and interfacing VFDs (A-B, ABB, Yaskawa, Parker) with other devices.
- Knowledge of industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with industrial electrical circuitry, including PLC hardware.
- Competency in writing and interpreting PLC ladder logic, operational sequences, and startup instructions.
- Experience with AC & DC motor drives, PLCs, HMIs, I/O hardware, MCCs, and industrial control networks.
- Knowledge of Environmental, Health, and Safety practices and procedures.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
- Understanding of industry codes and standards, particularly NFPA.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and time-management skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, specifications, and regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Valid driver's license required.
