Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and Disinfect Vehicles: Wash and disinfect PV transport tractors and trailers following CFG/USDA Animal Welfare and Food Safety Policies.
  • Operate Equipment: Use the Bio-Dryer in accordance with CFG/USDA guidelines.
  • Maintain Biosecurity: Follow strict biosecurity protocols to prevent disease transmission.
  • Supply Management: Order necessary supplies, including soaps, disinfectants, and cleaning materials.
  • Travel and Coverage: Be willing to travel out of state for up to 2 weeks for training or to assist at other facilities. All expenses are covered.
  • Quality Control: Ensure trailers are thoroughly cleaned and inspect them after washing.
Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience: A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read and understand English documents and communicate effectively with team members.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic math skills are required, including the ability to work with Metric and Standard units.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to follow instructions and solve problems in standard situations.
  • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: A valid driver's license is required.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands frequently. Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
  • Regular exposure to wet/humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
  • Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme heat.
  • Occasionally exposed to high places, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme cold, and vibration.
  • The noise level is usually loud.
