Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Tech to join our team at Covenant Health (Tennessee). As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing mammographic procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mammographic procedures, applying proper ionizing radiation and accurate positioning techniques to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Verify informed consent and assist licensed independent practitioners with interventional procedures, including time outs according to policy.
  • Provide patient education, comfort, and support, ensuring patient cooperation and safety during procedures.
  • Document patient clinical history, medical records, and ensure information is available for interpreting physicians.
  • Assist in maintaining medical records, respecting confidentiality and established policy.
  • Respond to patient questions on BSE, ACS guidelines for screening mammography, patient dosage, and other breast imaging procedures.
  • Select and record exposure factors based on breast tissue density, patient age, and equipment characteristics.
  • Position patients and equipment to provide specified projections, ensuring proper diagnostic quality.
  • Participate in quality control tests, including laser printer QC, monitor cleanliness, and review workstation QC.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years diagnostic imaging experience, including experience and training in mammography, breast anatomy, and physiology.
  • ARRT (R) licensure and state licensure in accordance with Tennessee guidelines.
  • CPR certification.
