  • Front Line Support: Provide front line support to the department, coordinating and performing front line office activities in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Patient Registration: Greet and register incoming patients, support the patient check out process, and schedule future appointments as applicable.
  • Insurance Verification: Read and interpret insurance responses, understand general guidelines and insurance rank requirements to properly assign primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance per encounter.
  • Financial Obligations: Communicate financial obligations to patients and collect fees at time of service as appropriate.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Complete all necessary regulatory forms with patients, ensuring compliance with organizational and HIPAA guidelines, privacy practices, patient confidentiality, and patient rights.
  • Medical Record Maintenance: Accurately perform medical record maintenance and releases.
  • Referrals and Pre-Certifications: Assist with referrals and pre-certifications at the time of encounter.
  • Patient Recall and Reschedule Lists: Properly utilize and maintain patient recall and reschedule lists.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of related work experience
  • Certification(s) and License(s): None specified
  • Skills: Clerical I, Communication, Customer Service, Office Politics, and Confidentiality
