Job Summary

Martin Marietta is seeking a skilled CDL Ready Mix Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a Ready Mix/Concrete Truck in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on vehicles, including fueling, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Operate the Ready Mix/Concrete Truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to Martin Marietta and Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations.
  • Assist maintenance with repairs as needed and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Communicate and direct coworkers verbally, either directly, through two-way radio, or hand signals.
  • Provide documentation on delivery tickets and ensure all tickets are signed and returned.
  • Exercise good judgment regarding work site access, unloading, and operation to and from work sites.
  • Maintain good customer relations and act in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Assist in training of co-workers as needed and demonstrate good knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures.
  • Required to follow all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Possess a Class A or B Commercial Drivers' License (CDL).
  • One-year experience operating tandem trucks and/or Ready Mix truck driving experience preferred.
  • Possess a safe driving record and maintain an active DOT qualification.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to perform well in a team environment and be a self-motivator.
Working Conditions

All time is spent in an outside setting that may require various periods of work in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet, or dry. May have exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc. Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and Monday through Friday and every other Saturday schedule.
