Machinist Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Poly Print Inc.

Job Summary:

As a Machinist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining precision machinery used in the flexographic printing process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, and CNC machines to produce high-precision components for flexographic printing presses.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Maintain and troubleshoot tooling and fixtures to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent malfunctions and extend their lifespan.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and address any issues affecting product quality.
• Work closely with other members of the production team, including operators and maintenance staff, to optimize workflow and meet production goals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members to ensure a smooth production process.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training programs and contribute to the development of safety initiatives.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Machinist, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in the operation of lathes, milling machines, and CNC machines.
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
