We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Dietitian Assistant to join our team at American Senior Communities. As a Clinical Dietitian Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall health and quality of life for our residents by working closely with the Registered Dietitian to implement individualized nutritional plans of care.
Key Responsibilities- Resident Assessments: Complete and update nutritional status for resident assessments under the direction of the Registered Dietitian.
- Nutrition Services: Perform resident reviews to identify each resident's needs for nutrition services and those at nutritional risk.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with members of the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care.
- Weight Monitoring: Responsible for recording resident weights to monitor and identify significant weight changes.
- Meal Observations: Conduct regular meal observations, reviews records, and interviews staff and residents to ensure that all residents are receiving food in the amount, type, consistency, and frequency to maintain adequate nutritional parameters.
- Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics or equivalent, or actively pursuing a degree in a healthcare field, preferably nutrition/dietetics related, or has a current Dietary Manager Certificate (CDM) with a Practitioner Certificate in Nutrition Care or equivalent.
- Preferred Qualifications: Dietetic Technician, Registered, or Personal Care Assistant training.
